BACA “An evening in tuscany” event
September 14, 2025 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
A magical evening set in a private vineyard where attendees enjoyed sumptuous Italian fare, our host’s vineyard and winery tour, plein air painting and limoncello-making demonstrations. Live music was provided by a jazz trio and there was a special opera performance by tenor Daniel Juárez.
BACA’s biggest fundraiser for 2025 featured both a live auction for vacation packages and a silent art auction with proceeds supporting BACA’s community arts programs.

BACA SUNSET CABARET FUNDRAISER
AT THE ESTATE

BACA’s biggest-ever fundraising event was held on August 2, 2024 at ‘The Estate’ on Townsend Avenue in New Haven. The catered cabaret themed event featured raffle items, a live auction, and artwork specially chosen for the onsite art show.
Live entertainment was provided by jazz guitarist Bob Crelin highlighted by a performance by celebrated cabaret singer and special guest Mimi Lines and her trio.
BACA 3RD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Video highlights from BACA Gallery’s anniversary celebration including a visit by Marc Anthony Massaro, sculptor of “Pointing the way to the future” statue that now graces Wooster Square in New Haven. Hear from several of the BACA Gallery artists and artisans in their own words as to the opportunities the Gallery has afforded them and how they have shared in the Gallery’s success. Hosted by BCTV’s and Branford’s own Lonnie Reed.

Afternoon Poetry Readings at the BACA Gallery

April is National Poetry Month. BACA invites you to enjoy an afternoon of poetry with readings by members of the Connecticut River Poets, a collective of poets from the Connecticut River Valley area:

Intuitive Collaging Workshop

Intuitive Collaging is a fun and creative way to explore your inner world. Using your intuition and imagination, you will create collage cards that represent unique aspects of who you are. Based on “Soul Collaging,” this workshop led by Rev. Kathryn King, LCSW will help you explore the creative part of your brain often neglected in our busy lives. Join with others in beginning a journey of self-discovery through collaging.
New Documentary Screening: ‘The oystering life’

Presented by BACA and the Branford Historical Society, ‘The Oystering Life’ is a feature-length video documentary by director Steve Hamm and editor Scott N. Amore that tells the story of Oystering along the Connecticut Coast, from the early days of native Americans and European settlers, through years when oysters were in abundance, its collapse in the early 20th century, to oyster’s remarkable revival today.
