For the past six years Edith Reynolds has been an avid participant within the Southern Connecticut art community as an Associate at the Lyme Art Academy, as an elected member of the Clinton Art Society and through her memberships in the Madison, Cheshire, and Watertown Art Leagues. Her work is on permanent display at BACA, portraying the serene beauty of the shoreline landscape and the intricate details of Connecticut shells in both oil and acrylic paint.
Her career, following her attendance at Paier School of Art, encompassed advertising and public relations, photography and developing instructional media, and teaching at the college level. For the past 31 years, Edith and her husband owned and operated The John Bale Book Company, an antiquarian bookstore. During that time she was also an active participant in the non-profit community as a grant reader, writer, and as a trustee of the Connecticut Community Foundation.
