Artist’s Statement – The ocean, and water in general, has been a recurring theme in my work for as long as I can remember. Whether it’s an underwater theme, like my “Fish Series” paintings, or a more traditional seascape, water flows, in some fashion, through most of my art. My subject matter tends toward the traditional, but the execution is anything but, and in most cases, features the inclusion of vintage paper elements that I have collected over the years… Whatever the subject, the final piece is always vibrant and colorful, at times whimsical, often unexpected, sometimes even nostalgic. Above all, decidedly unique.
Bio – Born and raised in Connecticut, I have had a lifelong love affair with New England, and all of its iconic imagery and subject matter. Throughout a career spanning over thirty years, my award winning work has been featured in print (i.e Yankee Magazine, Cape Cod Life, The Hartford Courant to name a few) and in established galleries around New England, and can be found in private collections throughout the USA and abroad.
